Your Massage
What to expect
“A room of one’s own”…The title comes from author, Virginia Woolf's, conception that, 'a woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction'. It also refers to any author's need for the personal liberty to create art. We believe that you, too, deserve a room of your own. A place you can return to that re-inspires your full potential to enjoy life.
Imagine, if you will, stepping into a massage center like none other. You experience gentle fragrances, the meditative note of music, the soft colors and vintage furnishings suggesting the comfort of grandma’s house and the harmony of a time gone by. Already you begin to unwind. You are then graciously ushered into a charming room of your own, herbal teas are offered and your custom tailored massage begins.
FAQ’s:
It’s your body and you are right in being careful with it. Here are a list of frequently asked questions. If you don’t find your answer here please give us a call: 765.423.2536
What do I wear?
Remember, your technician is a professional and will keep you draped in the appropriate areas. It's best not to remove your undergarments. We do offer gowns for those whose modesty requires it; occasionally your therapist will ask you to bring gym shorts. The massage therapist will leave while you undress, relax onto the table and cover yourself with clean, warm linens. The only area of your body exposed is the area being worked.
What should I do during the session?
Simply relax. Many people close their eyes and drift off to a meditative state others enjoy conversation. If assistance is needed your therapist will tell you. Feel free to ask questions about massage and the particular techniques you are receiving.
When does my session begin?
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of your first scheduled appointment. When you enter your therapy room your session begins. If you are receiving an hour appointment, dressing and undressing are a part of that hour.
Can I return to normal activity?
We recommend giving yourself a little time to relax afterward and always drink plenty of water.
Should I tip? What's normal?
Leaving gratuities for work well done seems to be the norm, but of course, is optional. Most tips range from 15%-20% of the price of the service provided.
Will insurance cover the expense of my massage?
Certainly if you are in an auto accident or have a job related injury covered by worker’s compensation, insurance may cover massage when prescribed by your physician. If your insurance covers chiropractic services the services of a massage therapist may be covered
when prescribed by a chiropractor. Check with your insurance provider.
